Hi Everyone.
Just a short note to make you aware that the 2008 Aros Rapier workshop
will take place (as usual) at my house "VIlla Haga" in Uppsala, Sweden
in August.
Dates: Friday 22 to Sunday 24th August, we start friday evening
Place: Villa Haga, Marielund Haga 116, Sweden, 13km on road 282 to the east of Uppsala.
Nearest airports: Arlanda and Västerås
The focus of the workshop is on period manuals and application of
historical technique to schlager and cut and thrust styles in the SCA.
Participants wishing to spar with instructors or other participants
should bring full SCA protective equipment for the styles they
want to spar in. Some equipment is available for loan at the course
for those getting started in rapier activities.
The classes cater to both beginning and advanced participants.
A feature of the course that distinguishes it from other rapier
activities in the SCA is that a significant part of the program
is a combination of class and individual tuition. Particpants
can work with one of the instructors on specific aspects of
their fencing style that they wish to develop during the weekend.
So that there will be adequate time for each participant to
receive individual tuition the number of participants in
the training classes is limited to 20 people.

Base price for tuition+ feast: 500 SEK
